Is "they had a son, Denis" supposed to read "they had a son, Desmond" ? Later in the artice it states "His eldest son, Desmond, inherited his title of O'Conor Don.' -HouseOfScandal 16:45, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

o'neil/o'neill high king line

[edit]

this o'conor don line is not , i believe the high king line, in ireland, esp as that was ALWAYS the o'neil/o'neill line which comes down to today esp via shane o'neil line of shane castle... ... and of course, the high kings in ireland claims all ended approx 800 years ago with takeover of ireland by the normans... and expressly later, the earls of ireland came to king henry 8th of england and expressly asked him to be the high king of ireland, (see his wiki) as they could not stop squabbling and HE / Henry 8th did descend from the last "sitting" high king of reland back in approx 1200 ad... ... and furterh of interest is that TODAY, those lines from both that last o'neil descendant of that earlier 1200 ad high king line ... AND the lines from Henry 8th are MERGED today so that this merged line ... IS / would be the high king line IN ireland is any such king / royal line existed ... which it does not and has not... and this o'conor don claim would be one of ??? 100s or 1000s of lines that can lay some claim to the high king story / line ... except that, that real high king line / ard ri of ireland ... via those actual sitting o'neill kings and also via the pledge to henry 9th for him TO BE the high king of ireland by all the earls of ireland...(see above) makes this conojoined line THE real high king line .... lil ard ri SR ... 68.195.88.82 (talk) 03:04, 20 November 2013 (UTC) (note, the 'stone' sang for ME) ...[reply]
